WANTAGE -- A man was stabbed during a robbery Thursday afternoon while walking through a wildlife refuge in North Jersey, State Police said.
The man, who is in his 20s, was attacked in the Wallkill River National Wildlife Refuge in Sussex County at around 2:30 p.m., Sgt. Gregory Williams said. He was taken to Newton Medical Center where he is expected to recover.
The armed robber was described as wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt. Police have no suspects.
The Sussex County Prosecutor's Office, federal Fish and Wildlife and State Police are investigating.
