SPARTA -- A Hamburg woman was charged with criminal mischief on Christmas Eve after police say she threw a rock through a stained glass window at a local church.
Valerie R. Bradley, 39, was trying to get the attention of someone inside the Institute for Spiritual Development on Sparta Avenue to get a ride home, Sgt. Dennis Proctor said in a news release.
The rock caused an estimated $5,000 in damages to the building, he said.
Bradley, who admitted to throwing the rock, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief and released pending a court date, Proctor said.
