The driver remained at the scene of the accident, authorities said
STANHOPE-- A high school student died after being struck by a vehicle Monday night, First Assistant Prosecutor Gregory Mueller of the Sussex County Prosecutor's Office said.
The teen, whose name was not released, was hit around 6:30 p.m. in the area of Rt. 183 and Linden Avenue.
The driver, who has an international driver's license, remained at the scene and is cooperating in the investigation, Mueller said Monday night.
Additional information will be released Tuesday, Mueller also said.
