Stacey Aho pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and resisting arrest in December

NEWTON -- A 39-year-old woman who was charged with attacking three officers in August while intoxicated was sentenced Friday to 90 days home detention and three years probation, authorities said.

Stacey Aho, of Franklin, pleaded guilty on Dec. 19 to two counts of aggravated assault and two counts of resisting arrest in connection with the incident, the Sussex County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release.

Franklin police previously said she was arrested on Aug. 30 after she became disorderly while officers were investigating a dispute at her residence.

Aho, who appeared intoxicated, then began swearing, making threats and swinging her arms at officers, police have said.

When officers tried to arrest her, she became physically violent, striking two officers and kicking another in the stomach, police said.

As part of her plea, Aho must write a letter of apology to the victims in the next 30 days, attend a substance abuse program, an anger management program, complete 100 hours of community service and pay fines and fees, the prosecutor's office said.
