Saint Clare's at Sussex SUSSEX BOROUGH -- Saint Clare's Health will reduce services at its facility in Sussex Borough effective June 1, downgrading the 106-bed hospital from a satellite emergency and outpatient center to an urgent and primary care facility, New Jersey Herald reported.
The change will also reportedly result in a reduction of hours to 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. The site was previously open every day, including weekends and holidays, from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Unlike an emergency center, an urgent care facility is not required to have a physician on duty at all times, and these facilities are usually geared for matters not considered to be life-threatening such as allergy attacks and fractured bones, the newspaper reported.
Saint Clare's was acquired by Prime Healthcare of Ontario, Calif. in October 2015.
