A 58-year-old man was killed in the crash
JEFFERSON -- Police say a Sussex County man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Sunday evening.
Joe Rivera, 58, of the Stockholm section of Hardyston Township, was traveling west on Ridge Road at about 6:41 p.m. on a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a guardrail in the area of Holland Mountain Road, township police said in a news release.
Rivera was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The crash remains under investigation by the Jefferson Township Police Department.
About two hours earlier, a 20-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Route 80 in Roxbury.
