Vernon man was one of three ringleaders of the operation
A New Jersey man convicted of selling cocaine in Orange County, N.Y. has been sentenced to 10 years in prison, according to a report.
Miguel Galvan was one of three men authorities called the ringleaders of an operation that sold more than $75,000 in drugs and laundered money, according to RecordOnline.com. The other two also received sentences of the same length.
Authorities said Galvan had more than four pounds of the cocaine, along with a loaded .45-caliber handgun at his home when he was arrested in January 2016. He was convicted in January of this year.
Galvan and his associates sold cocaine in Warwick, N.Y. and surrounding areas, including Sussex County.
He will also face five years of post-release supervision after completing his prison stint, the report said. Galvan still faces charges in New Jersey.
