Kassandra Potsel is facing a charge of child endangerment, according to the New Jersey Herald.
HAMBURG -- A Vernon woman was charged with child endangerment last month after she allegedly overdosed in a 7-Eleven bathroom while her 5-year-old daughter cried for help, according to the New Jersey Herald.
Kassandra Potsel, 26, of the Highland Lakes section of the Township, was found lying on the floor of the convenience store's bathroom on Aug. 20 suffering from an apparent heroin overdose after 7-Eleven employees gained entry to the bathroom, the newspaper reported.
Potsel, who was found to be possession of two hypodermic needles and 10 glassine bags of suspected heroin, regained consciousness on her own and was taken to Newton Medical Center for treatment, according to the report.
Potsel wasn't charged with drug or paraphernalia charges due to the Overdose Prevention Act, but she was charged with second-degree child endangerment, the newspaper reported.
