State Police say the stabbing happened around 3 a.m.
One person is in custody after an early morning stabbing in a North Jersey motel.
Details remain scarce Saturday, but authorities say they were called to the Sussex Motel on Route 23 at about 3 a.m. for a report of a stabbing, according to New Jersey State Police spokesman Sgt. Jeff Flynn.
Flynn said the victim was flown to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson with non life-threatening injuries.
Authorities would not make public any additional information about the incident, including the name of the person charged, the person's sex, charges or the relationship between the two, if any.
A person who answered the phone and identified himself as a manager at the motel said he didn't know any details about the incident.
