A vehicle operated by a 28-year-old crashed into the teen's vehicle, police said.
FRANKLIN -- A 28-year-old Hamburg man and a teen driver were seriously injured in a head-on crash on Route 23 Wednesday morning, police said.
Thomas Scott was traveling north on Route 23 in the area of the Irish Cottage when his vehicle left his lane of travel and struck the vehicle operated by a 17-year-old Sparta boy, Detective Nevin Mattessich said in a news release.
Scott was flown to Morristown Medical Center by helicopter while the teen was taken to the same hospital by ambulance. Both Scott and the teen were still listed in serious condition Thursday, Mattessich said.
Route 23 was closed for several hours during the initial investigation. No charges have been issued at this time.
