Pair allegedly stole and sold video games
FRANKLIN -- A Hopatcong man and a Mine Hill woman were arrested Thursday and charged with stealing hundreds of dollars in electronics from Walmart, Det. Nevin Mattessich of the Franklin Police Department said in a statement.
Tyler Demouth, 20, entered the store shortly before 3 p.m. and left with about $1,400 worth of video games. Lea M. Applegate, also 20, allegedly drove Demouth to the store and later sold the items, Mettissich said. The games have not been recovered.
Both Applegate and Demouth were arrested within hours after the thefts occurred, Mattessich said. Both were charged with third-degree theft and were released pending an appearance in Sussex County Superior Court.
