WEST MILFORD -- Pilots from all over the country arriving Thursday in their high performance planes for the 8th annual Greenwood Lake Air Show being held Friday through Sunday at the Greenwood Airport.
Many of the pilots and performers from previous years are returning, including Carol Pilon, a daredevil wingwalker from Canada.
A WWII B-25 and a TBM-3 Avenger are flying in for the show. Attendees will be allowed to get a close-up look before the planes take to the sky to perform.
Gary Ward, a stunt pilot form Lincolnton, Ga., who landed his MX2 powered by a modified engine producing more than 350 horsepower before noon Thursday, said. "It's a great long-range plane and I'll clock more that 11,000 miles before the end of the season.
Organizers said ticket sales have already surpassed 30,000, setting a new record for the three-day event.
General admission prices are $25, $15 for seniors and U.S. military veterans, and $10 for children ages 4-12. More information can be found at the event's website.
