BYRAM - Two Budd Lake men face charges of burglary and theft after police say the duo broke into a Byram home and stole $56 worth of food.
Police fielded a report on Aug. 21 from a Waterloo Road woman who said her home was burglarized while she was out that day, Lt. Peter Zabita said.
The items reported stolen include bread, bacon, pasta, hot dogs, fruit cups, crushed tomatoes, eggs, boneless chicken breasts, and Rice-A-Roni noodles, Zabita said.
Further investigation by Detective Robert Tierney revealed that the burglars were Dwight D. Miko, 20, and Alquan A. Stewart, 22, Zabita said.

Stewart used to live at the house but moved out several months ago and was not allowed back on the property, the lieutenant said.
Both men were charged and released pending an appearance in Sussex County Superior Court, Zabita said.
