OGDENSBURG -- A 25-year-old woman recently filed a lawsuit claiming an Ogdensburg police officer made unwanted sexual advances toward her after a traffic stop, New Jersey Herald reported.
The woman alleges in her lawsuit that Patrol Officer James Lame asked her if she had ever had sex with a police officer in a police station or in a cell, and asked her to have sex with him after a traffic stop in November 2014, the newspaper reported.
According to the newspaper, the woman was allegedly stopped by Lame on Nov. 11, 2014 for a speeding violation and a defective headlight, but she was taken into custody when he found she had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court in Bloomfield.
The alleged advances occurred when he took her back to the police station where he was the only officer on duty or in the building, the newspaper reported.
A message placed to the Ogdensburg Police Department Monday morning hasn't yet been returned.
