Alicia Pallozzi also allegedly stole money intended for a woman's funeral
FRANKLIN-- A woman who police said ripped off thousands of dollars by failing to deliver promised football tickets and who also allegedly kept the proceeds from a GoFundMe campaign started on behalf of someone else has been arrested, spokesman Det. Nevin Mattesich said Wednesday night.
Last week a woman told police she had given Alicia Pallozzi $1,600 for football tickets in September. The victim arranged the sale with Pallozzi through Facebook and text messages, Mattessich said.

Additional victims soon came forward, alleging Pallozzi, 32, had stolen amounts ranging from a hundred to a few thousand dollars for the New York Giants and Jets seats at MetLife Stadium, police said. There were at least 10 known victims as of Wednesday night, News 4 New York reported.
One of those victims said Pallozzi had started a GoFundMe account to raise funds for the funeral of the victim's sister. Pallozzi allegedly took the thousands in donations and kept them for herself. GoFundMe has agreed to donate the funds to the victim's cause, Mattessich said.
Pallozzi, who was travelling to visit family in Maryland, was arrested Wednesday near police headquarters in Franklin. She has been charged with theft by deception and was being held at the Sussex County Jail.
