2 people sitting in an idling car aroused suspicion, police said.
FRANKLIN -- Two people were charged after police responded to a call of a "suspicious condition" Monday, department spokesman Det. Nevin Mattessich said.
Police were called to Konnor Drive around 4:30 p.m. after someone reported seeing two people sitting in an idling car for an extended period of time.
Police arrived and administered field sobriety test as well as additional tests on the driver, Alan Mackerley, 49, of Sparta. He was charged with DWI.
The passenger, 24-year-old Jessica Cillaroto of Newton, was charged with possession of crack cocaine and possession of paraphernalia.
Mackerley was released pending a municipal court appearance and Cillaroto was released pending an appearance in Superior Court.
