A budget of less than $200,000 still affords homebuyers options throughout the Garden State.

Homebuyers hoping to spend no more than $175,000 on new digs in New Jersey can't expect to find exactly what they want, exactly where they want.

Some towns aren't offering anything for sale that falls below that price point and the median sales prices for single-family homes and townhouses and condos in New Jersey far exceed that cap.

The real estate market in the Garden State, however, still provides choices for people on a budget though the options aren't nearly as extravagant as what is available to those willing to drop a half-million dollars on a new home.

Hoping for an indoor pool? Plan to shell out well more than $175,000.

A single-family home overlooking the Atlantic Ocean is likely off the table for budget-conscious homebuyers.

But a one-bedroom condo in North Wildwood can offer sweeping views of the sand and sea at a fraction of the price, while also providing access to an outdoor pool to lounge around during the summer months.

Rather live in a single-family home? Properties in South Bound Brook and Sparta fit the bill.

Take a look inside those properties, as well as others on the market in New Jersey for less than $175,000, in the gallery posted above.
